Union of Italian Clubs

The Domino Club is a member of the Unione Circoli Italiani (U.C.I.), an association founded in Rome on May 18th, 1947 by the Circolo della Caccia and the Nuovo Circolo degli Scacchi, which gathers 18 Italian clubs located mainly in the capitals of the old pre-unification states and organizes cultural meetings and sporting events between the clubs themselves, including golf competitions, regattas (usually in Naples at the Circolo Italia) and skiing (at the Ski 18 in Cortina). The association also has the purpose of coordination and guidance between the associated clubs and – if required – of arbitration in disputes between members.

The U.C.I. is based in Milan, at the Circolo del Clubino. Its President is elected by the assembly made up of the presidents of the clubs and can only be chosen from among the current or retired presidents of the U.C.I. The executive is composed of two secretaries elected by the assembly and must be members of at least one of the affiliated circles. The assembly meets once a year at the headquarters of one of the clubs belonging to the U.C.I. in rotation among themselves, and the Presidents and Vice-Presidents (these only with a consultative vote) of all the affiliated circles participate.
